Privacy Policy (Draft)

Summary

Lightec AI (“we”) operates TeeChat and hosted services at teechat.ai. This draft describes our privacy practices. It is not legal advice.

We do not store or retain the contents of your chat conversations on our servers. Conversations you create are kept on your device in folders you choose (for example ~/TeeChat on desktop or Documents/TeeChat on mobile), unless you explicitly export or back them up yourself.

What we collect

Account identifiers (such as email) when you sign in to hosted chat or API access.

Authentication and security logs (sign-in events, rate limits, abuse prevention) — not message plaintext.

Billing and subscription metadata if you purchase a paid plan (processed by our payment provider).

Optional product analytics only if enabled in a given build; we do not design hosted chat to archive your prompts or replies.

Remote AI (teechat.ai)

When you use hosted inference, messages are encrypted with OPE before they leave your client. The gateway forwards opaque envelopes; it is not intended to persist chat transcripts as readable text.

Engines decrypt inside attested environments per the open OPE and inference-engine design. Verify attestation in Settings on any client before you send.

Your choices

You control local chat folders and may delete them at any time.

You may use local-only models on desktop without sending content to teechat.ai.

We will post material changes on this page with an updated date before they take effect for new use of the service.
